Rivals Rushden & Diamonds and Kettering Town will clash on August 23 after today's fixture lists were released.
Diamonds will kick off their Blue Square Premier campaign with a trip to newly-promoted Eastbourne Borough on Saturday, August 9.

Garry Hill's side then have successive home games against Ebbsfleet United and Wrexham before the derby date at Kettering Town on August 23. The Nene Park clash with the Poppies is scheduled for Easter Saturday, April 11.

Diamonds have midweek treks to Barrow and Wrexham in September while the festive fixture list features a double-header with Graham Westley's Stevenage Borough.

Meanwhile, Kettering Town will entertain Forest Green Rovers on their return to the top flight of non-League football.

Jim Harvey's men will arrive at the A-Line Arena for the opening game of the Blue Square Premier season on August 9 before trips to Grays Athletic (August 12) and Altrincham (August 16) follow on.

Then comes the big derby clash with Rushden & Diamonds on Bank Holiday Saturday with a live televised game at Cambridge United on the following Monday.

The Poppies will face Mansfield Town twice over the Christmas period before playing Diamonds and Cambridge again over Easter. Their last game is away to Kidderminster Harriers.
