Friday's letter

Like Michael McCarthy (Your Say, September 3) I too am confused why Rockingham Castle has recently relocated from Northamptonshire into Leicestershire. Confused but not surprised!
This is yet another example of the stigma attached to Corby. To admit that the castle is in Northamptonshire would mean that the address would also have to include the fact that it is near Corby. This a slight on the town by the castle management!
The postcode is totally irrelevant. Be it LE16 or ZZ99 – that is a matter for the bewildering Royal Mail to decide by whatever strange criteria it employs to determine a postcode. The fact is the castle in located, geographically, within the county boundary of Northamptonshire. That is all that matters and that is what the
address must reflect.
